In Christ, My Home Is – 15 Affirmations for the Christian Home + free printable

In Christ, My Home Is…

“HOME” – have you ever heard of a more heavenly word?

The best acronym I can come up with for “home” is: Heaven on Mom’s Earth.  (I’m still working on that.)

Home…it’s the cradle of the family, our primary place of spiritual nourishment, and the incubator of dreams.

Home…it’s the nurturer of hope and our place of belonging.  It’s where our heart is, because there’s simply no other place like home.

At least that’s what we all want for our home – for it to be a little piece of heaven on earth; but the only way that we can bring heaven into our home is to invite the God of heaven into our home.

Scripture declares that our Heavenly Father is the Designer of the family (John 1:1-3), and His instruction manual for the family is the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The wisdom and insight found in God’s word pertaining to family life is simply inexhaustible!  In this post, I’ve captured 15 truths that really speak to me as a wife and mom, and I believe every Christian woman should aspire to make them a reality in her home.

I’ve also turned these powerful truths into a beautiful printable to serve as a gentle reminder of what can be ours in Christ (you can gain access to your free printable below).

The truths contained in this printable may not represent your home right now, but with Christ’s help, you can diligently and intentionally work to make them a reality for you and your family.

Remember, as wise woman we are intentionally working to build and strengthen the spiritual and natural environment in our home (Proverbs 14:1)

If you need encouragement to be a more effective home builder, these two posts: How to Thrive in Family Life and Take Courage, Girlfriend! may help to get you jump-started.  I am here with pom-poms in hand to cheer you on.

Read it. * Pray for it. * Work for it.

  3. Home is exactly what has been on my mind lately! I have been praying and anointing my home every night especially the area where my toddlers sleep at night !

You are anointed my sister in Christ !
So glad I stopped by here right now

    • Diana, I’ve been praying, but I’ve got to be more radical in my prayers! I’ve got to get back to anointing those pillows. God is so good and He is looking for us to use all of the resources He’s given us to fight the good fight, especially in our homes. Thanks for that reminder and thanks for stopping by.

  4. Beautiful, Tiffany. The household of faith is covered in so many sweet truths and promises, isn’t it? — So lovely to meet you; I look forward to connecting with you. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ((hug))

    • Brenda! So happy you hopped over to my blog! You wrote this one post that I absolutely love and adore – about being unimpressive. That is the cry of my heart this year. I shared it on FB.

    • I’m so glad that this post resonated with you, Leslie. Great idea to hang on the fridge; mine hangs in my office. I certainly need these visual reminders, too. And thanks for sharing so that other ladies can be encouraged and blessed.

  6. I LOVE this! Everyone could use a gentle reminder of the beauty of home. “Incubator of dreams” – YES!
I am very fond of that quote. 💕
    Sharing today!

    • I love that quote too, Rachel. Wish I could take credit for it. 🙂 Thanks for the share and your heart to encourage other women through God’s word. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day.

  7. Now I’m trying to think of a home acrostic haha. The printable is lovely and I appreciate these points! Thank you!

    • Hey Bethany, I should have asked the ladies to weigh in on that. I would love to know what they come up with.
